GIVING BACK
In 2023, the DreamBuilder team participated in its annual charitable project by partnering with Community Vision to improve Carol’s home. With the assistance of about 25 people, we accomplished a demo/re-build of the deck, applied fresh exterior and interior paint, completed all landscaping tasks, bleached the concrete, and much more. Impressively, the team accomplished all of these tasks in less than a day.
Kobey’s Dream
In 2008, Tim and the team at DreamBuilder Custom Homes undertook a project to build a new home for Kobey Bonin and his family. Kobey, a 13-year-old boy from Banks, Oregon, suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic disorder that gradually weakens all the muscles in the body. With no known cure or effective treatment, this disorder affects one out of every 3,500 boys in the U.S.
At DreamBuilder Custom Homes, we believe in building our clients’ dreams. For Kobey and his family, that meant creating a home that was accessible, mobile, and autonomous, enabling him to move freely within the structure of his home. Tim’s passion for helping the Muscular Dystrophy Association comes from a lifelong friendship with Kobey’s father, Dennis Bonin. Together, Dennis, Kobey, Tim, and the DreamBuilder team worked collaboratively to design and build a house that fulfilled Kobey’s dream.
The home is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accommodates all of Kobey’s needs, including wheelchair accessibility. Muscular Dystrophy Association
By giving at the Koderra house during the 2011 Street of Dreams, the MDA Portland chapter was able to continue with helping fund research for a cure to fight over 43 neuromuscular diseases, including the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Visit mda.org

Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
American Foundation for Suicide Preventions encourage youth and young adults in the fight to prevent suicide, the second leading cause of death among people ages 15-24. Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp
Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp is a place where individuals can spend a week joyfully focusing on their abilities. For over 85 years, they have offered an incredible outdoor recreational programming for campers with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities at its fully accessible 22-acre campsite in the Mt. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric, catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
